Square Enix announced today a final release date of August 31 for Final Fantasy Legends on iOS and Android.

Final Fantasy Legends was originally released for feature phones. The smartphone version ups the graphics and sound quality and adds virtual slide pad controls.

Like its feature phone counterpart, the smartphone version will be split into chapters. The prologue will be free. The first chapter will sell for ¥250. Chapters two through four will be ¥850 each. You can also buy the full game for ¥2,500.

So what type of game is this, as I will happily pay that sort of money for a decent FF game (though I would prefer it on Vita)

Their games are almost always the most expensive ones. I hope people boycott this until they cut the price or something.

This is the second FF announced for Android this year. PSV: 0 Android: 2. Mobile OSes aren't real gaming platforms my ass.

Cool! But the problem is, I can play the old FF games that I never played for MUCH less from the PSN, in fact, I own V, VI and VIII from PSN just waiting for my nice Vita update (I played IV, VII and IX on PSP)

Sure, it looks pretty, but not really worth an extra £20 for slightly better graphics compared to the originals

The price is fine, as long as the quality holds up.

But to me this looks like the same old boring FF. I'd rather replay TWEWY.
