Forums - Nintendo - Sports Connection Wii U trailer

One of Ubisoft’s exclusive Wii U titles is called “Sports Connection”, a party game with sports mini games much like Wii Sports for the original Wii. Ubisoft just released a new Sports Connection trailer, showcasing some of the mini games, which include Tennis, Go Kart, Baseball, Soccer, and more. It looks and feels very similar to Wii Sports, down to the cute visuals and the rather cliched trailer, with shots of people playing the game like no one will ever play in real life. Either way, check out the new Wii U trailer below. For more on the game, check out our Sports Connection Wii U page.

....I'm starting to get this strange feeling that Ubisoft is directly trying to leech off of Nintendo.

First, Rabbid Land, a game nobody heard about before Nintendo Land was announced and now this. I wonder how many people are going to mistake this for Wii Sports on the Wii U.

Holy hell.

Seems pretty obvious that Nintendo is in some sort of deal with Ubisoft. Lots of people won't even notice the Ubisoft logo (or care about what it means...) and assume that it's a Wii Sports sequel, and Nintendo knows this.

Is this the same game where we saw that Ping-Pong picture a few days ago? The one that looked really nice? Oh no wait.. I think that was some sort of "arcade" titled game..

This looks like fun for those who enjoy these very accessible and shallow games. It feels like it sort of fits the missing Wii Sports hole, which is nice.

im waiting for Wii sports HD
still this is interesting, the sports included are the ones that interst me most (football, karting, tennis...)
but i dont trust Ubi ,.......so no Sports connection for me...

It actually looks pretty good. As always, the controls are what make or break this sort of game so we'll see.

I do not mind a few games like these. Especially if they are fun. Just don't make too many!

You know that 3rd parties are going to crank these out.  The thing is that Ubisoft has been known for making quality games (sometimes).

I have to admit the baseball fielding looks like a clever way of using the UPad (from what I can tell you search for and catch the ball by centering the UPad on it while it's in flight)

Shame I hate baseball.

Why do the people look like the belong in a console that's older than the Wii U? Like the GameCube or something.

Overall, though it looks kind of fun, I would much rather a new Wii U Sports however.

This has been around for a while, but watching it again I'm wondering if the baseball is truly using WM+ like the excellent The Cages: Pro Style Batting Cages. If so, it would be the first full (?) baseball game that uses WM+ as it wasn't in WSR and MLB2K... never used WM+, nor did anyone else, amazingly.

That'd be the first thing I've seen that would make me want to consider a WiiU.

I bet Ubisoft spent more money developing that video than they did on the game.
