If the answer is yes, which is the better game in your opinion?...for someone who likes both genres but only wants to get one of them for now, which one would you recommend?

I've played them both except for Darksiders 2. Buy Sleeping Dogs, it's amazing.

I've played neither but please buy Darksiders II because it needs another sale or else we won't get a sequel.

I didn't get either. But I played Darksiders 1 for about 3 hours. It was fun. Kinda. In a giant-ass-boss-that-your-puny-little-self-couldn't-possibly-beat kind of way.

haha.but really, I must admit I´m quite surprised with the number of people who are enjoying Sleeping Dogs, the game came out of nowhere and turns out to be a big surprise.

Better than GTA 4/Red Dead Redemption for you?

I have Sleeping Dogs and it is far better than I was expecting, there are a few issues but it is overall a brilliant game. Darksiders II has been on my radar for quite a while and one way or another I'm going to give it a trial tomorrow. Both are getting similar ratings in their reviews so if you can only get one now I'd say pick the game that is your preferred genre.

On a 0-10 scale, what score would you give Sleeping Dogs based on what you´ve played so far?

I have both on PC and they are both fun but incredibly lazy ports. I would probably tend to Sleeping Dogs because Darksiders 2 can get repetitive but the lootsystem is pretty damn addictive. I logged 9 hours Sleeping Dogs and 11 hours in Darksiders 2 according to Steam.

On this site, I've given it an 8.8 so I'll go with that.

Also going to answer the question you asked bagenome. Red Dead Redemption didn't work for me, so I'd Sleeping Dogs is better. As for GTA IV, Sleeping Dogs has better gameplay, the hand-to-hand fighting is a good change considering other sandbox game (like GTA and RDR) focus entirely on shooting. Also the health system works much better. The storyline is quite interesting. It is quite similar to what you would expect of a game like GTA and even though the animations fail to convey emotion, the plot still manages to create so fairly emotive points.
