Forums - General - Many streaming websites down. Coincidence?

I went to watch my daily episode of Toriko, noticed anilinkz was down. Went for my backup, Animecrazy, also down. Searched "Toriko eps 25" for the one i was on, got a few links down. Went to "Is this website down" and found out that dramacrazy is also gone.

I'm wondering if this isn't some big US federal purge or something, or if its not just coincidence (because i did end up getting the episode, on AnimeUltima.TV, so they're not getting all of them)

What do you all think? Or does anyone know anything?

A lot of these sites are operated by the same people or are hosted in the same location.

I think some are trying to hide so they don't get noticed as easily and shut down totally. A number of the sites I pick for streaming content have had generally poorer service since Mgavid went down. Generally less choice, implementing timeouts, not providing content for full films anymore, or having horrendous pop-up and advertisements (most of which I can at least block)

These aren't hosting sites, they're linking sites, embedding content from the hosting sites and categorizing it all in an easy-to-find format.

Yeah, hosting sites have really jumped off a cliff since Megaupload went, but worse has been the ddl sites. So many of them are trying to go legit like "dropbox." It's disgusting...

Ah, well part of my post was about not providing full film links on watchseries.eu anymore, which is a linking site. I don't mind so much as I don't tend to stream many films, I have mostly been watching old sci-fi series (just finished "Dead Like Me" which was pretty cool)

I'm on mobile internad - and thus too limited to stream things and confirm a conspiracy - but I just popped in to post one thing:

FUCK YEAH TORIKO

...now I'm hungry D:

Don't bring personal baggage into threads. You've been warned.

On topic: anilinkz at least is back, so crisis averted :D.
