2006

PS3 was launched this year so let’s see how they performed head to head. The year saw PS3 release 13 exclusives. The highest rated game for PS3 was Resistance: Fall of Man with an average critic score of 86% and it also was PS3’s highest selling 2006 exclusive which ended up selling 4.07M. All the exclusives combined sold 11.23M (0.86M average per game) and received an average rating of 66% per game. The top 10 games also scored an average of 66% per game from critics and the top 10 selling games sold at an average of 1.12M

Xbox 360 released 32 exclusives and 5 consoles exclusives. The bestselling and also highest rated was console exclusive Gears of War with 5.94M units sold and 94% average critic rating. With all the exclusives sales added together they sold 14.14M (0.38M average per game) and received an average critic score of 64% per game. The top 10 games received an average critic score of 79% per game and the top 10 selling games sold an average 1.24M per game.

Did microsoft hire some people to try and do their bidding in the forums?

I swear at least 3 pro microsoft with no logic just poped up all of a sudden. I'm pretty sure these guys are beeing payed to do this.

This is what microsoft does with their money instead of new games...

They have better things to do with their time and money, namely pay for timed exclusives of DLCs and what not.

Well, it doesn't surprise me that it had more exclusives since 360 had been on the market a year longer.
