The Legend of Zelda (NES), TLoZ aLttP, Super Metroid, Punch Out (NES) and so many great classic games should live on, like DKCR did for the 16-bit incarnation of the furry ape.

The Donkey Kong Country games!
e=mc^2
Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)
It's hands down the best console for JRPGs, like FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Lufia II, Terranigma, EarthBound, just to name a few. It's also the best console for platformers like Super Mario World and DKC series
Nintendo and PC gamer
DKC and Super Mario World are, still today , absolute masterpieces
But the game that i remember most is the exclusive to Snes DBZ Super Butoden 2, the best 2D DBZ ever
Also Flashback and of course Street Fighter 2
Super Metroid, Illusion of Gaia, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Shadowrun...just to name a few. We're talking some of the best crafted, balanced gameplay experiences from any generation. Not to mention a controller that is still being emulated.
Oh...and no load times for games.
Top Gear! Loved that game, never had a SNES had a MegaDrive, but still got loads of time on that game, loved it!
You made this thread for me, didn´t you?..haha.
Well, as far as I´m concerned, the SNES is still the king, followed by the PS1.
Both the NES and SNES (especially the SNES, imo) are the only Nintendo home consoles, to this very day, where you could find what Nintendo fans have been asking/begging for several years....GREAT/SUPERB 1st party AND 3rd party support on one system.
Neither the N64 nor the GCN nor the Wii were able to carry on the SNES legacy, I´m still waiting for "the SNES 2" if you know what I mean...could the Wii U be it?
@JGarret. That's my honest hope. If people could only see beyond UE4...

The Nintendo system that came as close as it could to being a "SNES 2" was the DS...but it didn´t matter to me since I don´t like handhelds.
But honestly, I´m not optimistic.Today´s industry is a completely different entity than in the late 80s/early-mid 90s.
Becuase I completely and utterly suck at 2D platformers. There is literally no hope for me. I always rush myself and end up making a stupid mistake.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
