You are? How does that work? And when will this happen?

Also on the last part, not sure when exactly it will happen, but parents want me to get married next year >.> (I dont think I am ready).

Then I don't think you should do it. That's not fair to you at all!

I didnt want to do this at first, but I accepted this reality few years ago.

Can't you just put your foot down and say no? I mean, I'm sure you'll be able to move out and call your own shots eventually.

If anyone wants to wallow in grief here, that's their business I get. But, allow me to paraphrase a story.

A boy was madly in love with a female friend of his. On valentines day, he bought roses, he bought chocolates, and went to the girl's house to share his feelings. The girl laughed and slammed the door in his face.

Later his friends came to him to express their sympathy, but the boy didn't seem distraught in the least. A friend of his asked, "Aren't you upset?"

The boy said "Why should I be upset? She lost someone who loved her. I lost someone who didn't love me."

All about perspective.

Hoo boy.
Met a girl in school. Fell desperately in love with her. Was pretty sure she felt the same way. Why else would she ask me to go to the library with her to look up a word when we had our Internet-connected laptops right in front of us? I paid for several meals without prompting, and we kept making those incredible-feeling googly eyes and goofy grins at each other for months during class.

Then, literally, the day I was going to ask her out officially, she shows up holding the hand of a guy she said she found annoying and off-putting.

I acted highly inappropriately in front of her, embarrassed myself, and nearly ruined our relationship. She probably would have written me off completely had we not had to be in school together for another four years.

We made up eventually and are now very close friends, and I would never want to lose that, but the knowledge that it can never go beyond that constantly claws at my heart.

Long story short: FML.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

To answer the OP, I guess that kinda happened once. Only I never even bothered to try to talk to her, so it never went beyond a crush.

I've stopped looking for a relationship though. After my last one ended, I decided that I'm better off just waiting. I've got plenty of stuff in my life that I need to take care of before I can deal with a relationship. It doesn't help that I'm currently rather apathetic towards the idea of starting and maintaining a relationship anyway.

That's an awesome perspective!

OT: Yea happened once as it happens to most. Went up in smokes and mirror's. Good life lessons from some bitter memories and some sweet. Oh well would have been far worse relationship over time if we stuck together.

Have I found someone who doesn't give their heart back to me? Besides Taylor Swift?

No.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Is it just me or is it really freakin irritating when guys with female Avatar talk about their feelings?
