OK, so they are people just born in a certain time period that think of themselves as special?
I still don't really get why this is a "bad" thing...

I am graduated and young. And I have sweet job in an ellectronic Lab, the payment is not huge but it is enough for me to afford an apartment a nice and everything I need including hookers.

While Generation X was raised in a world where the Baby Boomers were struggling against the philosophy of their parents, Millennials are a generation that has been raised in a world that embraced the flawed ideology of the baby-boomer generation. Confidence was determined to be more important than competence, chasing a dream was more important than planning for the future, owning luxuries was more important than having cash on hand, discovering your independence was more important than having a strong support system, getting the college experience was more important than getting a decent education, and so on ... Unfortunately for the Millennials, everything that they have been "taught" is wrong. |
The issue is that we were taught that education would be enough, a promise that the exploiters have betrayed

It is considered by many that baby boomers where raised during the best years of history, and that they are the wealthiest and most priviledged generation so far. Some think wellbeing peaked during the baby boomer generation and it is now in decline, so this generation is the first one to live under worse conditions than the previous one in a long time. Also, it is thought by some that baby boomers are not allowing the younger generations to thrive because they hold the best positions and jobs and refuse to let younger people take charge.
Take that as you will, it is open to debate.

Or, you know, maybe it was a flawed promise to begin with. Credential inflation and all that.

My teacher-that-doesn't-read-exams proves this. He's over 70 but keeps working because... well, he's the boss of his departament so he can do whatever he wants and earns lots of money.

But then that creates a whole class of unemployable people, which is going to crash the economy. Employers can either get some sense and start hiring, or watch as the economic world burns by their hand.

This is even worse if you live in a place like California. I'm assuming you live in an expensive area as well, given that your $1,600 studio pricing sounds all too familiar to me.

Well that must mean a crap-load of people in Florida are Baby Boomers since almost everyone around me is smug or rich.
Anywho, I don't blame them for wanting to make money and to keep at it, after all, everyone needs money to survive in our modern world.
