There are examples of games not coming out in various markets. I am sure NOA and NCL make joint decisions on these. I imagine no one wants any DK: Barrel Blast

Sometimes, I wonder why NOE releases some games (see Pandora's Tower). Sometimes, I realize why games don't leave Japan (see Captain Rainbow) or are too "hot" for the NOA market (see Day of Disaster). But sometimes, I just don't understand (see Fatal Frame).

And remember, third parties all make their decisions individually.

Reggie may be to blame for some of it, but not all of it is his fault. Mother 3, for instance, had copyright issues with regard to its music that meant it couldn't be brought over here.

Reggie pretty much has to do what Iwata tells him to, anyway--if Iwata wanted the games released worldwide, they would be.

I dont really see a problem other than the games the stupid operation rainfall mentioned (which btwhad no effect whatsoever on nintendos decision to bring over the games and even totally ignored other games like EARTH SEEKER etc.)

There is not that much you dont get compared to europe. You also get some games that never hit europe.
And another example is you pay less but get a 3dsXL with charger. We pay more and have to buy the thing seperately for like 13 additional dollars,

Nintendo earns less money when selling stuff in the US right now compared to the money they make in Europe.So right now they try to earn money with whatever they can in europe instead of the US. Its less risky here right now. Thats why it seems like europe is of higher priority right now.

There is no way xenoblade would have skipped the US it just took some time.

Reggie has a lot to do with what games coming over.
He's the goto guy that report back to Nintendo heads and tell them what sort of interests we have in the West.
So, if Reggie tells Nintendo it's a lost cause to release Xenoblade here, we get no Xenoblade.

I'm start to feel like Nintendo will focus more on Japan and west will be the last for almost anything. Sadly, many of the games we see releasing in Japan will never come. I was expecting MH3G this holiday or maybe next year Q1, but it's unlikely at this point.

It really surprises me the drough for 3DS this year. Revelations was in January, Uprising February-March and the KH3D until July-August. But none of them had are the "big releases" like NSMB2. It really surprises me no Animal Crossing this year. Fire Emblem had to be Q1 and AC Q2 at the latest. It must be that way.

I have long suspected that Reggie views his NA consumers as more casual. They are quick to grab anything with potential casual appeal from Excitbots to to Kirby's three titles to Malgrave Incendent to even Sin & Punishment (which while describe as 'core' is really a very simply arcade shooter at heart). Meanwhile they routinely pass on deeper games like Disaster:DoC, Pikmin 2, The Last Story, etc. Yes, they did Xenoblade - after much protest from fans but still no Pandora's Tower or Fatal Frame 4 or 2.

The only one that doesn't really follow suit (and isn't a Nintendo mainstay) is Samurai Warriors 3 which I suspect NoJ pushed on them.

oooh! this is SUCH bull crap!!! Seriously you two (Spurge and zero), take a chill pill. For two decades (!!!) - that's 20 years - Europe has ALWAYS been the last place to get anything. Just take a look at when Nintendos consoles have launched here; AFTER everyone else. Don't come complaining that USA is getting a few games later by a few days when we over here have waited months before :P

And going by rumors WiiU might launched in USA before it's released here in EU.
