Much deserved sales for DQ10 and KH3D. I thought the sales would be the other way around with DQ10 breaking a million. I was way off.
Hopefully, PS3 continues its sales as it's enjoying right well after the Wii U's release. With its trending sales and the ten year plan, it may eventually overtake Xbox360 LTD sales. Imagine that.

Very good week for 3DS, thanks to XL holding in Europe and the very nice Kingdom Hearts boost of plain 3DS in USA.
Good week for Wii that rises from numbers shameful for the market leader to almost decent ones for the season.

I always underestimate the power of the Dragon Quest series. Hopefully, that motivates the sales of Wii in the West as well, and even the Wii U. Nintendo is smart in working with Japanese developers first as part of their 3DS/Wii U strategy.

Well the power of the Dragon Quest series is way way way better than what you saw here with DQX. DQ games in Japan sells over 2 million in 2-3 days.

I know DQX is MMO but 400k seems low to DQ.

Really liking the 3DS numbers. Hopefully it can stabilize at a higher number in Europe than before the XL.
I'm sure the 3DS XL will have a better launch in the US.

Just for the sake of use numbers:

During 2006, NDS Lite was released in EU June 23th

First week ending June 24th (2 days) - NDS (NDS+NDSLite) 169,588
Second week ending July 1st - NDS (NDS+NDSLite) 143,973

Curious note: NSMB was released at the second week of the DS Lite (week ending July 1st).
For comparision, 3DS is around half of that.

Europe numbers are pretty good considering that they didn't advertise the XL at all. They just started advertising it in conjunction with NSMB2 rolled into one commercial, just like I suspected. I'm pretty sure the 3DS numbers will at least be stable at 70k in eurpoe for a month or so.

I'm not disagreeing with you because I haven't seen many XL adverts on TV (though, I don't watch TV so much anymore) but just here in the UK at least, 2 Gamestations I have been in have been plastered with adverts for it all over the window and inside the store.
