Well the power of the Dragon Quest series is way way way better than what you saw here with DQX. DQ games in Japan sells over 2 million in 2-3 days.
I know DQX is MMO but 400k seems low to DQ.
Anyway DQ >>>>>>>>> FF in Japan.
