I still think I prefer rock to anything else, but recently has been more open in regards to the genres I listen to.

Chase & Status, Green Day, A7X, Linkin park, SOAD, Pendulum, Calvin Harris, Billy Talent, Likely Lads, Libertines, Bliss N Eso, Eminem just to name a few artists in my last weeks playlist :p

Pop - all eras.
Rock - 80s and some modern
70s Disco
Electric pop
trance and dance - mainly from the late 90s to 2005.
Pop R&B (like Usher, Beyonce, Rihanna)

I also like to listen to (rarely) and have a collection of popular Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic pieces.

Hate/detest:
Heavy Metal
Rap
Emo rock (like Radiohead)
Hipster indie rock
Dance music like LMFAO and Flo Rida "Whistle" and the like.

i like all types but my fav is 80-90s rock and metal, havent been listing to it much b/c ive just heard em too much over my life, now i like pop, dubstep and girly music. . . i know sad

My three favorite bands come from the Progressive/Symphonic Rock family tree: Muse, Evanescence, and Within Temptation. So I suppose I'll go with Progressive and Symphonic Rock.
