Play Dragon Quest X Occasionally Or Your Characters Will Be Deleted!!!

Dragon Quest X for Wii launched in Japan on August 2nd and according to publisher Square Enix, if you don’t play the game online at least once during a three month period, your characters’ data may be erased. Dragon Quest X players aren’t required to subscribe to continue playing the MMO, as they can choose to play during the “kid’s time” period, but still need to make sure that they connect to the game’s online servers every now and then.

Worst Publisher this gen (greater than Crapcom).
Forgot who their fanbase was, too long development, making games that shouldn't be made, etc.

Turn on the game every 3 months... it's not that hard

Square is amazing, at least on portables

Rocket Slime 3 (which may not come :( )

In little more than one year, plus all they did on PSP or DS :)

last gen they were one of the best devs
i dont see why thats gonna change in the near future
aditionally, i think those games Vic listed are pretty adecuate, nothing low about them

That's... surprising. I've taken 3+ month breaks from World of Warcraft and gone back afterwards, but I sure as hell wouldn't if my characters had been deleted. What a strange measure to put in.

Its horrible how much power the industry has taken from the consumer. This is why a digital word could never xxist.

At the topic, Square-Enix has been a failure since before it becme Square-Enix. When Sakaguchi left the company fell into decline.

Blizzard did that years ago with Diablo II characters. It was a pain when you'd lose a high level character but resetting the counter was easy enough at least.
