If there were one, it would have to be Lloyd, since (coincidentally) Symphonia is the only Tales of game I've played (until Graces F comes out in EU). It was like when I saw people listing Rudy (Wild ARMs) as a possible character for PSABR. I love the WA series, and Rudy is a great character, but he's not well known.

Then again, I suppose it's not any more obscure than Fat Princess

They don't have to be super well known for them to be good playable characters. the fire emblem characters became popular because they were included in melee.
