I guess the 49ers didn't do so bad afterall, since the Pats are a "horrible matchup" for them, right? ;-p

It was a good game though and I had a good time watching it. LaMichael James came through with a nice kick return after that game tying score. I'm really glad the 49ers picked him up out of Oregon, and he's doing well replacing the injured Kendall Hunter.

@zuvuyeay: People picked against them, because of how bad they played last week against Carolina. Houston as well, but they handled Indy this week. That's also why so many people picked the Pats. After they manhandled Houston last week, everybody thought they were going to do the same to the 49ers. I saw an espn poll before the game and only 2 states picked the 49ers to win.

I still think if the Pats had scored earlier they would have won, 49ers aren't built to come back from behind. But when you turn the ball over 5 times in the first half then its not suprising to go down 31-3 at the half.

The fact that they came back and scored 4 touchdowns in a row says a lot about this team I think. Hopefully we don't have any more games with turnover after turnover again. Knowing Belichick we won't.

The Pats had 4 turnovers, 2 in each half. The score was 17-3 at halftime.

The 49ers also had missteps as well. INT in the end zone, fumble at the 5 yard line, mishandled snap on 4th and 1 (pretty much a turnover)... Not to mention the other fumbled snaps...

The defense started playing more conservatively during the pats run, using a lot of zone defense. Their man defense worked much better as it stifled them in the first half and they didn't get back into it until the end.

49ers did well running the ball though. 180yds total, even more than their 162yd/gm avg.

That they can pick apart a soft zone with the best of them?

Close games like usual, Steelers lost in overtime ridiculous lol.

And omg today. Jets were just plain terrible with Sanchez.

Yea my bad your right. Pats have been excellent against the run this season but the 49ers were getting at least 5 yards every run which killed the Pats.

While the 49ers did have a fumble and interception they were far less costly because they were deep in Patriots territory. If i remember correctly every single turnover we had was on the Pats side of the field except for the first interception.

Are you honestly trying to belittle 4 straight touchdowns against the best defense in the NFL?

If its so easy why didn't the Texans do the same thing to the Patriots? Not to mention the Pats have one of the worst pass defenses in the league.

I'm trying to give your boys some credit here! The Niners went soft zone, and the Pats crushed them quickly, easily, and repeatedly until the Niners stopped being so stupid. Geez, so sensitive...

Lovie Smith said that the Bears game against the Packers wasn't a must win game. Should I should break it to him that if the Bears win the final two game that they still might not make the playoffs?
