Noname, you and I have been friends for a while, but I am calling bullshit on this statement.  Cutler had gotten a severely sprained MCL that game which didn't allow him to plant in order to throw.  He attempted to throw a pass after getting the injury and his entire leg gave underneath him.  To top it off, he didn't ask to leave the game.  His coach, Lovie Smith, told him to sit.  I'm sure that you'll make a joke about his coach not having faith in him but whatever...  About him sulking; how would you react if you had played football your entire life, had gotten one game away from the Super Bowl, had to sit on the sidelines and watch the biggest game of your career, and not be able to do anything about it?  Would you be whistling zippity doo dah?  I know that I wouldn't.  My point is that he is tough and you really should stop with this crap.  I have watched the man take the worst beating that I have ever seen a Bears QB take over the last few years (this is saying a lot), normally pop right up, and more often than not win the game.  And about him being a bad player; he is actually a good QB.  How do I know this?  When he plays, the Bears usually win.  When he doesn't, they look like one of the worst teams in the league.  Look at the last two seasons if you want proof of this.  I am not saying that he's a perfect QB, but he should not be synonomous with shitty QB play, being a coward, and a sulking jerk like you are trying to make it look here.  You need to stop looking at the world through green and yellow tinted glasses.

The rest of this post you pretty much said the exact same thing as Rol, so I will you to be right about the Saints Falcons game just like he is.  But I was right about who was going to win.

So, what do you think about the 49ers QB situation?  I personally think that Harbaugh is doing a lousy thing considering that Smith was 18 for 19 in his last full game.

If the 49ers don't at least reach the Super Bowl I would have to say that he is doing the wrong thing since Smith took them to the NFC Championship game and almost won it last year. 

Hey, I'm not going to lie and say that I'm a big Alex Smith fan because I'm not.  But he has gone from number one overall pick that was a huge bust and was benched repeatedly to a guy that barely won the starting job last year.  He has improved steadily over the last two seasons and statistically this was by far his best.  It just seems like to me that he worked his tail off to get to where he was in order to have the rug completely pulled out from under him.  I'd understand the move if Smith was playing mediocre or even average, but he was actually was doing some positive things and not just staying out of the way like last year.  

And like you said, what happens when people get a scouting report on Kaepernick and tailor their defenses to stop him?  Do you expect him to still excel?
