Forums - Nintendo - I see both Nintendoland and Super Mario Bros U both being bundled with the WiiU. Anyone else?

I can see Nintendo releasing both Nintendoland and Super Mario Bros. U as bundled with the WiiU.  I could also see they release it at a $250 price point also.  Anyone else see this, the bundle, not necessarily the price point?

I see doing all the above will really help sales.

I don't see Super Mario Bros U being a launch title, honestly- definitely something within the first 6 months of release, but I think they'll let the console set itself to early adopters first before pulling out the big games.

No, absolutely not. Nintendo Land will most likely be bundled. Reggie and others at E3 said they are looking for it to have a very high attach rate to the Wii U, so it's almost a no-brainer at this point. But NSMBU will definitely be sold independently as a system-seller. I just hope it's $49 and not $59.

Iwata, in an interview with a top person on the project for SMB U discussed SMB U being a launch title.  It makes sense that it be available day one for the U.

I could see them doing two separate bundles, but they'll certainly want to sell them separately as well so I don't think they'll both be in the same box.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Nope. Nintendo usually doesn't start bundles until the cost of manufacturing the console goes down.

As much as I'd love it, I don't see this happening. Nintendoland will be bundled with the game and you will have to pay for Mario.

Take my money Nintendo. Just take it all...

Nope.

We'll get different bundles at launch.

I see a definite core bundle with Nintendoland. But, I also see a 3rd party bundle with CoDBO2 and possibly other games like ZombiU or Batman etc. However, Nintendoland bundle will be cheapest and considered the core game sku.

If it was my decision, I would launch the Wii U with Super Mario Bros U for $349 and sell the Wii U tablet bundled with Nintendoland for $99.

That's not a terrible idea, really. I kinda like it.
