Lol, Nintendo+Apple wouldn't even be a competition.
And this isn't even supposed to be a troll post! It's kind of like a fact...

Yeah. A Nintendo + Apple merger would definitely destroy the other guys.

Not really, Android is bigger than IOS and Steam has 40 million active accounts, just on the PC/MAC, if they created a console based on Steam, with android support... that number would be a hell of lot bigger. A Sonysoft console would probably trounce any other home console on the market, the combined lifetime sales of 360/PS3 will be over 150 million, and that's with one incredibly underwhelming console sales-wise compared to it's predecessor. Nintendo and Apple would be the clear victor in handheld gaming only, beyond that the competition would be tremendous.

Out of interest, how'd you come to that conclusion pie?

the nintendo apple console would be a casual machine because most apple user are only interested in super simple usage like they are interested in for other apple products + nintendo itself also has much experience for casual customers now.

microsoft + sony and valve + google, not sure what that would bring but i'm pretty sure both would be much better for me than a nintendo console with apple. i like nintendo but that would be too much of a casual machine.

Because it's the obvious answer.

Nintendo has a large amount of followers and the exclusive First Party IP's that everyone know's and loves. iOS has a TON of followers, you (I think) and many other people said it themselves, there's a lot of iDroids out there that'll buy anything to do with Apple.

Sony+Microsoft = Best Console

Nintendo+Apple = Best Handheld

Valve+Android = DD Haven

I would get all 3.

Edit: Plox SE release FFI and FFII Anniversary on Steam :(

bastards

this definetly would be desireable.

the Sony Microsoft console would be a pretty sweet merger, all the best franchises on one awesome box. I feel like Apple would ruin Nintendo. And I am not sure what to think of a valve google box.

And maybe microsoft and apple would work well together because both of them don't like buttons.

Nintendo isn't infallible, they sure can get the crap beat out of them(last gen, lesser so the gen before that). I think it would be in Apple's best interest to avoid nintendo and jump in as their own. I think they could easily steal Nintendo's market regardless of a certain plumber. Why tie themselves up with them? Also, if this scenario happened, I would sad. I would love getting a valve box to buy cheap steam games, but I feel like Nintendo and Sony would be soured by those relationships and they are my two companies of choice.

A SonySoft console would be worthless. PS3 and 360 are largely the same console already anyway and their user bases coincide enormously. Even though PS360 this gen will end up being 180m, if they were a single console, they'd be lucky to hit 120m.
Not sure what to say about the other two. They sound like bad ideas as well, although I can't see how anything with the Apple logo on it could fail.

Lol the same can be said for the other companies. They all have a TON of followers.

See I think Microsoft and Sony is a much better combination. They both have weaknesses in areas where the other company excels. E.g. Microsoft with XBL, marketing or Sony with it's extensive first party. What does Apple have to benefit Nintendo and vice versa? IOS support on a Nintendo handheld seems to be about it. Money and marketing isn't an issue for Nintendo, Apple's first party is non-existant, they've never made a home console. (don't mention pippin :P)

Realistically, a next gen microsony home console could sell 100 million, probably more. Will the Wii U, as it is, get anywhere near that? No. What about the Wii U with some input from Apple? Still, no, because they have next to nothing to bring to the home console space. Nintenapple would dominate handheld gaming, but not home console gaming in the slightest.
