It didn't. Consumers were always going to buy it despite what actual gamers thought.

Gamers are people who buy games and consoles, and vote with their wallet. People buy the 3DS XL, so gamers want that product. You don't decide what actual gamers are.

There's quite a large rift between consumer and gamer that extends beyond purely using your money to buy games and consoles. I should have initially said casual gamers and hardcore gamers to remove any doubt.

This is the way elitists see the market. I don't like a product, everyone who buys it is a casual. You have lots more hardcore games in 3DS than in Vita, but "casuals" buy 3DS, and "hardcore" buy Vita. It seems that by that definition, there aren't many "hardcore" gamers.

There aren't

[i dont agree with what was stated prior, 3DS is being bought by both the hardcore and casual, neither are buying the vita.]

Well dang now I am gonna have to try out my 8 year old cousins 3DS. She is way too good at mario.....makes me look like a fool.

Why does it seem so many people assume the people who said X are the people who said Y.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Who was saying it was a bad idea? People have been clamouring for a 3DS revision since launch day, and it takes about 5 minutes of playing the 3DS to screen that a 3.5 inch screen size really doesn't do the 3D effect justice.

Since they can't really make the 3DS much smaller, making a bigger model always made sense especially after the DSi XL's success.

Well, I was greatly disappointed with the absence of a second analog stick and I thought the idea of a bigger portable was an oxymoron. Now, I kinda want one. It just took me a minute to get over the idea of what I wanted a Nintendo portable to be and I began to appreciate what Nintendo had to offer. If only I didn't already have a CPP, Charging Cradle, Carrying Case, and CTA grip for my current 3DS......

How does using two BS marketing terms that have zero meaning in the real world make your post make sense?
