If Final Fantasy XIII Type-0 is made into an American game for the PS Vita, could it be a system seller?  I think that would make me buy a Vita because Type-0 looks a hell of a lot better than XIII and XIII-2 in my opinion.

Yes, if we base it off the Japanese sales, should be at least one million copies sold. Though I don't know how many would buy a Vita just to play it though.

It would be a system seller, yes, but to what extent is debatable. I don't think it would launch the Vita sales through the roof, but it would certainly give it a nice boost for a month or so.

I'm hopeful Squeenix are working on this right now.

I've been waiting for this game for a while now. It'd be great to actually get to play it, even better to play it on my shiny new Vita. :)

I'm waiting for it to get vita.

PS4: The Golden, Gravity Rush, and Wipeout I want. But none of those I want enough to spend money for a vita for (though Gravity Rush is close).

For me, Type Zero would make me insta-buy the vita.  FF's name might not be what it once was (I still love them though :), so I can't say it would sell systems like I think crisis core did, obviously it wouldn't hurt the vita).

It'd help, but it wouldn't provide the huge boost that Final Fantasy did even a few years ago.

If they released through psn then it's a definite buy for me day 1, but psvita... idn. If it's remastered with up to date graphics then it will likely boost psvita sales.
