I saw this on my iPod a few ddays ago, when I saw who wrote the article after I was done, I was flabbergasted!!! To think this man actually has a professional side without "over-guessing"...

This is the very first piece of article I actually found satisfied to read. If he continues like this, I can actually give him my respects.

Actually he does quite a few articles like that one. The problem is we only see on the headlines his polemics views. And now that is trendy to say  ``he`s a jerk``, every article he makes, even if it`s an interesting piece of information, everyone bashes him. Oh god how I hate bandwagons. You can already see one person in this thread who says errouneous things about this article.

When was the last time an interviewer asked Pachter about the EPS of Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or EA?

It's not about the EPS. It's about his forecast of Nintendo's performance and his PoV on Nintendo decisions.

So how is he wrong so far on such statements? All of his statements lead up to the big picture of EPS and other things. He may be wrong about the how's and why's, but he's rarely wrong about the big picture. In his field, that is what matters. No industry person has ever cared about Pachter's statements about a price cut. What they do care about is the total economic picture of the Big 3 and other players, and base their decisions off of that.

Additionally, I don't find any of those three statements to be unlikely, nor biased, nor wrong thus far.

lol why do u call Mr Patcher a lier? He's cool.

If Cool = Annoying/Wronglikeallthetime/Troll then sure!

OT: I'm not sure if I want to read the article or not...

Nintendo beat his forecast for revenue by about 17b Yen (almost $220m)...the consensus forecast was dead on though.

Driving down "selling, general, and administrative" expenses - saved Nintendo like 13.5b Yen from last quarter, that's pretty impressive, it's a $175m / 28% expense reduction (and Nintendo only has like 4,000 employees, they essentially found a way to save over $40,000 per employee...) with revenue only down by 10%. If they continue reducing expenses they could out just profitable next quarter.

I'll say it's good enough to read, NinPie.
You can clearly see he's neutral here..

Like who exactly? Quote and reply, challenge the PoV. I abhor anonymous generalizations about posters.

At this point I don't expect you to see it any different no matter the evidence brought forth to be honest. If you agree that COD is what forced Nintendo to come up with the UpadPro, I'm all out of patience.

If you're really curious, go to the articles I linked to and you'll see my replies there.

Everyone forgets that fiscal guidance is Pachter's ACTUAL job.

No, not everyone forgets. I'm very aware. Nevertheless it was a radical difference from his usual rantings, so as such I was pleasantly surprised by his professionalism as compared to what I usually read of him.
