@MRKs So the WiiU should have got AssCreed 4 and future releases that haven't been announced or spinoffs that would need an separate team working on?

Agree that most people whoo wn 360/ps3 will pickk up the game on those systems.

However there is one crowd of people we are all kind of forgetting. Wii owners who got a 360/ps3 as their second choice console only  because they wanted to play some of these high profile games that wii didn't have.

These people will buy these games on wiiu as they ideally want to own one console. howver not sure what % of these people exist.

Im sorry but im not really getting this, wouldnt buying a Wii U defeat the whole purpose of having one console when they will in fact now own 3?? i can see them trading in the Wii since Wii U is fully BC, but to give up their PS3or 360 would be kind of stupid since not every game from those libraries will be ported to Wii U, FarCry3, Crysis3, SP, just to name a few says hi. THe one crowd who will be getting these IMHO are the zealots, the ones who ONLY buy Ninty products and they are in a super minority.

what I was trying to say is this gen people bought multiple consoles because the Wii alone did not have the 3rd party support.

If WiiU maintain good support than 3rd party games will easily sell well on the WiiU for those people who normally would not want multiple consoles and also like Nintendo games. Otherwise it will definetly be another multi console generation where the core buy their 3rd party games on 720/PS4 and only Nintendo games (and casual games) on WiiU.

It's the launch of a new console - there are going to be a lot of ports. That's just the way it is. At least Ubi is managing to give us 2 brand new games, which by the way are exclusive. That's more than most third parties can say developing for Wii U.

No what you just said made no sense actually, your thinking from a non wii fan standpoint. What he said was the primary wii owners would have no reason to continue to own a Wii or 360/PS3 because they are buying a WiiU regardless since they are primary Wii owners. You don't have any proof of those games not being ported over sooner or later and those games are hardly important anyways.

so you think these primary Wii owners would trade in both their Wii and PS360 system and library to essentially start over from scratch? Just to say they are supporting Ninty? that makes no sense. Matter of fact the only people who would do that are the Ninty zealots and how much of them do you think there are in the world. Im guessing a few mil at most. No proof, Ubi already said that FarCry3 will not be ported to Wii U, that could change in the future, but for now that game is PS360/PC. Funny you say those games are hardly important, thats silly because those are the types of games that made "primary" Wii owners buy an HD/PC console in the first place

Yea right those games didn't even sell well lol and like you said that doesn't rule out an future release. I guess i have too break this down for you, when they purchase the WiiU which they will do since they are Wii primary owners lol. They would then no longer need to purchase AC3 on the PS3, why would they if they are getting a WiiU? Now do you understand, your problem is mainly stemming from the fact that plenty of people enjoyed the Wii, it does have higher software totals than the other two you know.Those so called few million could buy millions of 3rd party games if they actually exist. Is it not clear to you that majority of those consoles bases dont even care for those games you mentioned. Why does CoD dominate each and every year if they did? Nintendo shouldnt be worried about the small fry they should worry about getting the big fish(COD, GTA, AssCreed) and the small fry will follow.

They simple stop purchasing games on those platforms thate are on WiiU (assuming WiiU will be their primary console of choice next gen).

I still have all my old consoles, so not like I have abandoned any of them. I would assume some people would do the same.

Then again I have seen people trade in a PS2 with 30 games just so they could get a PS3 at half price (in Australia that is at EB games) in the launch window. So not everyone values games they have finished playing like we do. They simply want the latest system out.

Wii had the biggest fish of them all, COD and looked how it sold compared to the HDs. Most of the multiplat games sell better on HDs, I mean day 1 multipats, not games that were released years later on another console(looking at you HOD and NMH). So you think Assassin's Creed will sell better on Wii U than the other two? If you dont think so then there is no point to your comments.
