Forums - General - So I am writing two books in the past couple of years,but..my bad luck hits hard.

Anyways lots of writers here in VGC, maybe we should open up a thread for us.

You see, a few years back there was this person in the net, a casual accquaintance of mine, who was an english teacher with a pretty good knowledge of literatury theory and history and a long-time fan of fiction. She often published in her blog some very useful hints on writing fiction, specially fantasy, so you don't write crap, to put it bluntly. I filled some 350 text archives with her stuff, yeah it's that big and it's pretty useful even for the newbies and the experienced sort alike. Maybe that's something people would be interested in and should be shared.

Sure I can, going to post the link as soon as I upload it. Also be sure to have a way to open .odt files.

(Legal disclaimer: this material was avaliable for free on the internet from the start and is being shared without commercial intention. All credits go to the author.)

Edit: here it is - http://www.4shared.com/get/i2BmxTY9/Limyaeel.html - you need a 4shared account though.

Also is worth checking out the Planetocopia, the best worldbuilding out there I've seen, but be sure to read the page the artist explains his motives before coming with what I'd call the obvious gripes. Just as valuable for Sci-Fi and Fantasy writers.

As far as I see your Space Station doesn't have any similarities with the one in the movie... Yours is a place for scum, while in the movie it's a paradise (more or less). Just change the name of the station. Nothing else seems to be the same, and let me tell you: there's QUITE a lot of Sci-Fi movies with space stations =P

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
