Forums - Gaming - I have to many unplayed games? Can't play them because there is to much to chose from

Hey I gots a questionz.

I just finished Warhammer Space Marine, and I'm not sure what to play next. I've kind of narrowed it down.

I could start Ass Creed Brotherhood (I finished Creed 2 last week)

I could start Just Cause 2

I could play Skyward Sword (i don't even remember if I finished the first dungeon lol)

I could start Saint's Row 2

I could finish inFamous 2 (I'm about 1/3 or 1/2 finished with the storyline)

I could "finish" Final Fantasy 13 (I've played that for 12 hours). I've heard it's really long.

I could try playing Dark Souls, even though I suck at it.

I could try to finish Red Steel 2 until I get bored.

I could finish Metroid Prime 2 Echoes.

I could finish the book I'm reading and not play any games.

I could play Modnation Racers and write an entire book while the first track loads.

I could play MW3 and get absolutely nothing accomplished.

I could force myself to play Amnesia and try not to pee my pants

I could try and figure out if there is an actual storyline in Ratchet & Clank All 4 One.

I could ask my dog to finish some games for me so I don't have such a big list.

Those are my options.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I pretty much have just said "Fuck it" and started playing multi-player Call of Duty Black Ops. Had this game since the day it released but only played it every now and then. Never did finish the campaign. Now, it's the only game that matters. I feel kinda bad for all of the time I spent bashing the series. It's pretty awesome.

I'm on the last level of Dead Space, too. Maybe I'll finish it tonight. Then, I can jump on DS2. Lucky for me there's absolutely nothing that I'm hyped to buy. I'm even on the fence about NSMB2 for the 3DS.

Leave the RPG's for the last, and get through the 5 - 10 hour games quick. This will take you a long time to finish them all though, especially if you get hooked on a game and you just want to get all the trophies/achievments cause it's so fun and you get pulled into other features of the game then a 9 hour game turns into 50 hours...

So just pick whatever most interests you, and maybe avoid RPG's for now, until your ready to dedicate many hours to it.

Classify the games in genres
pick one of each that you can play at the same time
go for the less excititng ones first and leave the good ones for later
that way you can pass if you are not really interested after some h of playing, and youll have an awesome game waiting for you always....

I have to many rpg's to finish. I don't think I will see the end to these games any time soon. So, in reality, I don't need to buy another game...right? And yet, I have Risen 2 pre-ordered and I am hyped as hell. And each time, I tell myself that I don't need to buy other games. I have enough...and then, I go for the collection angle myself.
Just for fun, these are the rpg's I must finish:
-Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition. I am almost done with the main quest and I still need to do Lonesome Road.
-Dead Island. Not really an rpg, but I bought the Game of the year edition. I am on chapter 2.
-Two Worlds. Found the collector's edition for cheap. Two hours in.
-Two Worlds II. Good game. 20 hours in.
-Risen. Almost 40 hours in. Very good game. I shoud finish it before I start the second one.
-Mass Effect 3. Maybe an hour in
-Dragon Age 2. 15 hours in. Not as good as Origins.
-Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga. tVery good but I have not touched it for almost a yeary. I should try it again.

So much games, but I will still buy Risen 2 tomorrow.

Okay.  Let's do this.

PS3:

  • Dead Space:  Made it to the asteroid section last night.  Had it for three years but I'm finally playing it.
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2: Got it the day it released.  Have no idea what the fuck is going on. Still bought the DLC.  WIll beat is someday.
  • Nier:  Got it for $10 about a year ago.  Was having fun but then I stopped playing it.

Wii:

  • Kirby's Epic Yarn:  Played the tutorial and liked it.  Never played it again.
  • Silent Hill Shattered Memories:  A great game but I keep putting it off.
  • Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam:  It was $5 so I grabbed it.  Played it for five minutes to see if it worked.

Vita:

  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus:  Fun game but I had to finish Uncharted.
  • Resisitance Burning Skies:  I like this game but I only play it when I'm at work.  I'm two stages in.

3DS

  • Mario Tennis:  Day one purchas.  I haven't played a single match, yet.
  • Sakura Samurai:  Played it for thirty seconds, I think.  Seems like it will be a good game.
  • Dillon's Rolling Western:  Made it to the title screen.

Xbox 360:  And these are just the games on the shelf!  There's even more in the closet but I won't dig them out.

  • Spider-Man: Edge of Time: Just bought it.  Gonna play it soon.....I think.
  • Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions:  Same as above.  I went Spider-Man crazy last week.
  • Vanquish:  An awesome title that got pushed to the side when I played Mass Effect 3
  • Bully:  Haven't played it once.  My kid beat it, though.  Looked like a ton of fun.
  • Fight Night Round 3:  Got it for free.  It was evidence but another cop gave it to me. Never even played it.
  • Infinite Undiscovery:  Really liked this game.  Got to disc 2 and now I don't know where the fuck to go.  Needs a better map.
  • Rayman Origins:  I don't even know why we stopped playing this one.  Should fire it up today.
  • Undead Nightmare:  Great game but I was Red Dead Redemption'ed out when I bought it.  I'll start it someday.
  • SSX:  Day one purchase AND I bought all of the DLC.  Played the tutorial.
  • Star Ocean 3:  Got it with a Gamestop gift card.  I really want to play it someday.
  • Dance Central 2:  We played the first one like the world was coming to an end. Why didn't we play this one as much?  I even bought a soundbar for my livingroom TV just for this game!!
  • Child of Eden:  I was having fun with this one but then I just stopped playing it.
  • I have probably 100 (or more!) XBLA games.  I probably beat a third of them.
  • Max Payne and WWE 12 to the list.  Two day one purchases that were really good but somehow got pushed to the side.

Okay.  I DO play a lot of games and I do beat a lot of games but I've bought waaaaay more than I could ever play.  Sometimes, I want to play a game and I don't play anything because I don't even know where to start.  On top of that, games like Resident Evil 4 and 5, Gears of War, and the Batman Arkham titles get multiple playthroughs (like five or more) while other games don't even get a second glance.  And that's just the way it is.

...im confuse if this is ADHD or Hoarding LOL

I tried to do d21 a favor and cut that list down to games actually worth beating...he still has  a shitton to finish but its worth a shot.

I bought a ton of games over the years and most of them were totally cheap   like 5-20 bucks.

A while back I had no time to play games because there were more important things in my life but i kept buying them because I wanted to get sure I have them (some get really reare and prices explode etc so i get sure i get them for cheap when i can)

Now I have time to play  but the problem I have is that I have so many games  like  around 50 Wii games 50 PS3 games 50 360 games    40 DS games etc.
That I don't know where to start.

And I even have alot of  unfinished PS2 and Gamecube games.

Everytime I start a game  i lose interest because  there is so much other stuff around  and when I try to play something else  I get bored again and try to play something else......   For example I start a role playing game on DS  but the tutorial is so boring I stop playing the game (even if its a great game etc)  or if I play a game for a few hours I stop  and 2 months later I dunno what happened and have no motivation to keep playing etc.

I dunno what to do lol.

That's a good problem to have though its a lot better then having nothing to play at all.  I have a backlog of a little over a dozen DVD movies that I haven't watched yet I can knock those out in two days so I'm in no hurry.  Of course their are also more then a dozen movies that I would like to rewatch again.  On the game front their are only a couple games I haven't started yet but their are over a dozen I haven't finished yet.

i have a similar problem where i have so much unfinished games or games I want to collect all the collectables, but i end up buying even more games. Some days I'll feel like playing a game and look at my collection and eventually not play anything because the choice is too hard.

  • Ace Combat 6:  Great game overshadowed by better games.
  • Alice The Madness Returns:  Was having a blast with this one.  Bought it with two other games.  Something had to give.
  • Assassins Creed 2:  Goddam, this game is long.  I don't know how far I am with it.

  • Perfect Dark Zero:  This game is a lot of fun, actually.  I only play it co-op, though.  When my partner (PrincessNYA420) wants to play, we'll play it again.  We're on mission 4.
  • :  The only PoP game that I didn't own.  Got it for $5 from XBLA
  • I have probably 100 (or more!) XBLA games.  I probably beat a third of them.
  • There's a ton of other 360 games in my closet but I didn't have room for them on my shelf anymore.  Hell, most of the games in this list aren't even on the shelf right now.  Off the top of my head, NBA Street, Tenchu Z, and Ninja Blade are resting safely and barely touched in my closet.
  • *edit* Add Max Payne and WWE 12 to the list.

I started Bully a couple of days ago it is a lot of fun even though I'm over 40% complete its going to be a while before I'm done playing it I think I might go for all the achievements.  Infinite Undiscovery is pretty linear so you really shouldn't have much trouble getting back into it if you don't go for most sidequest the game can be beaten very quickly.  I'm going to have a harder time trying to pick up with Tales of Vesperia again, the last time I tried to play it again I really had no clue what to do next.  Probably will have to read a stategy guide before I try it again.

A partial list of some of the games you thinking about playing would be helpful though if you want any advice.
