I keep telling you guys... Iobit Game Booster! It takes screenshots (you select the format... PNG, BMP, you name it), videos (again you select the quality and even framerate limit), FPS overlay, closing down useless services and programs at the press of a button before playing (or even automating the process when you launch a game and when you close it), updates for different gaming related drivers, and full customization options on all those things! Go get it NAO!

I got my beta approval email a couple of weeks ago but never gave it a try.

I'll give it a go later once I get into Skyrim, to see what all the fuss is about .

A whole page dedicated to Oblivion graphics. This is like a time travel to 2006. Warms my heart.

@ CGI,

It's not Steam who is destroying those screens, it's that you are basically running vanilla Oblivion. You know the foliage density could be increased simply through the ini.files in the PC version.

I am sure there are much better mods for foliage than the one you're running.

Or perhaps you forgot to check the mod to active in the Mod manager?

@ trasharmdsister,

Yes, please post some beautiful screens of your modded Oblivion!

There aren't very many foliage mods. You should have a look around. And my game is far from Vanilla, you can't "basically" be running the standard game with mods installed. :P

It's just as others have stated, and I've quickly learned, Steam pics simply reduce the quality, and by a good deal (that, and I have no shadows for foliage turned on). I won't mess with the ini.files when the NMM takes care of most the work. Not sure if you use Steam, but if you ever do, you will also learn. ;)

For example:

My first pic (Vanilla):

Enhanced Foliage Mod:

In the coming days (as I wait for Lucius to arrive from EU), I'm going to be modding further.

Now we're talking! That looks great. But instead you have very low res LOD textures.

Lucius seems very cool. Isn't it available on Steam or you really wanted a boxed copy?

I could only find two shots last night (there are more buried away on my hard drives somewhere!) of my half ass modded Oblivion. They don't show off the water (probably the thing I modded most, along with weather.... rainstorms look amazing) and distance mods or the character mods I've put in place and it doesn't have the texture mods for the environment (minus foliage) or the better shadows and "lighting" but it gets the idea across. I maxed out the foliage density. See CGI? This is what I mean by a foliage shot. Nothing blocking that sweet, sweet foliage. I was also experimenting with some depth of field in those shots but it always smeared the same parts of the frames being displayed (look about a third in from the right side and you'll see the same smear on both images - yucky!).

I dunno. It looks detailed in the distance but I would guess that's because you're running it in a high resolution rather than enhanced foliage. Also there's a weird blurry artifact on each screenshot.

You can do better!

Steam isn't best pic taker. If you use any post processing, it takes a picture of the image before the post processing.

I've been screwing with FXAA injector mods with Post Processing. I've gotten Deus Ex: Human Revolution to look a lot better (imo). Without the performance hit, and bugs/glitches enbseries DXHR has. I'll post it later, when I find some cool pics.

It's also good for some games to turn details up but AA down, if you don't have insane rig, and spend power on effects textures than AA. It seems to work good on console ports because a lot of times developers implement antialiasing poorly, like with DXHR.

I thought this looked funny. Staring match with a Nord!

Who won?

What mods are you using for Skyrim?

took me a while to go through this thread. some impressive mod screenshots... CGI, at what frame rate are these games running at on your monster rig. something like crysis 2 maxed out?

Well I keep saying I'm going to post shots but never doing it because I'm too tired. So I'm going to sacrifice 45 minutes of sleep now and post this.

Skyrim:

These are across 3 different mod configurations and I'll have you know that I just scrapped it again and am starting over . After I did though I looked at my most recent shots and I'm quite sad that I was so short sighted. However, performance was poor with the most recent set up (the framerate was find - read 45-60 fps - so long as I ran in a straight light; once the camera turned I'd watch a slide show until it went straight again) so it hindered gameplay so much that it really wasn't worth it.

Check out the full album: http://imgur.com/a/6cnO8#37 (Feel free to post a shot you like on here if you want to share it with the rest of the fellas who are too lazy. I'm sure someone will post the one I'm thinking about )

What mod are you using for the enhanced whiterun, Expanded Towns and Cities or Detailed Cities? I couldn't decide which one to use and I really liked how this one looks .

@CGI - That Oblivion "woman" looks more manly than feminine :-p.

I was getting 97-102fps, on average, on Crysis 2 maxed. This includes the MaLDo mod and Black Fire Mod 2.

Not bad...So if I decide to get that new Asus 27 inch 144 hz monitor, I need more GPU firepower than dual 680s to get the most out of it (144 fps). Thisenthusiast stuff is getting expensive... :)
