If that's what UE4 looks like when utilized for an actual game I don't see why Cliffy keeps whining about next gen consoles not being powerful enough for UE4.

I think the assets are just really low quality, the lighting looks nice tho. They say it started out as a UE3 game as well, they will probably be using this to show the engine can scale down to weaker hardware.

Good point. Guess it also supports his Wii U porting claims so Nintendo fans shouldn't really worry about missing out on games.

It's also being developed by a handful of people at Epic, so I guess we shouldn't really expect AAA production values. Also I guess they might be going for some epic scale or physics or something behind the scenes.

before discussing the graphics you guys might want to check out the 1080p screens over at gamersyde

some assets may appear low poly, but I think that is more of an artistical choice than a power related one

holly shit... is this ingame material?

The game looks like a CG cartoon, but the animations need to be improved. The animations look like they are from a current-gen game instead of a next-gen video game. However, the gameplay sounds pretty interesting so we'll see how this turns out.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

I wish they had used some tesselation and the ground textures look a bit muddy in the outdoor shots, still not the UE4 showcase many were hoping for. This screen does look really nice tho

Textures actually look quite sharp and the lighting and shadows looks really nice.

Looks pretty good actually, I might check it out if I can run it (I only have a 512MB graphics card :'( )

Where can you see animations? Is there a video?

while i do like the way it looks...

...i don't find myself impressed. (critiquing U4)

game looks shiny though. i hope this is a sign we'll be seeing a bit more variety in art directions next gen. i like this one a lot.

cool it sounds very interesting for me. i like the concept and that art style is very nice, too.

yeah it looks not so brilliant if you look at it just as graphical awesomeness (at least on the pcitures i saw) but maybe they want to show other developers that you can make a lot of different things with ue4 like very different art styles and maybe graphics from "looks ok" to "omg that looks unbelievable" to sell more of the engine also to smaller teams who don't have the money to make super duper expensive games.
