I got this get this in a few weeks!

You should get this got this, it's so great! when you got/get this tell me, I need some more dayz players. It's best played in groups.

I picked up the game about 2 days ago, i was hiding out in some shed for a bit wondering how the hell im going to get a gun, i got brave and went out to see what i could find, zombies was everywhere. after being spotted by 3 of them and just running for ages i gave up and let them eat me.

I was starving, i had no water. i was lost and alone when i dead :( .

But you know what?, i love the game. it really brings you in and you just dont want to die, its scary in away.

Anyway ill join your group APM :D.

add me (andrespetmonkey), but I don't have internet cause my network is down (I payed like £3 for this 1 hour to BT lol I'm desperate), as soon as it's up and running again we'll play :)

ArmA II mod Day Z hits 500,000 players

Bodies continue to swarm to Day Z like the unstoppable undead horde, pushing the number of players of the ArmA II mod to 503,000 players and counting.

In a Tweet earlier today, the Day Z development team announced that the ArmA II mod has reached the 500,000 player milestone:

“Congratulations everyone, with your support through tough times, mistakes, troubles, and technical problems, we now have over 500k users!”

The current average life expectancy of the 503,000 Day Z inhabitants is a mere 35 minutes, according to the mod’s website.

At Rezzed last week, VG247′s video maestro, Sam Clay, caught up with Day Z creator Dean “Rocket” Hall to discuss what’s next for the zombie mod; check out the video interview through here.

I want this, apparently it's amazing. I've seen some funny Youtube videos, especially the "no no no no no no" one.

This deserves to be it's own game. It doesn't even have to be full retail price, could be something like Minecraft where you pay once and get all future updates for free. Only downside is they would have to rework the entire engine since it is just a mod right now, that could take years.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

The guy works for the developer that makes the game/engine (as a multiplayer designer on ArmA 3) and he already plans to bring it to their next engine ether as a mod for ArmA 3 and/or possibly a standalone. Considering that they only sold a bit over 500k copies of ArmA 2 before the mod was released I wouldn't be surprised if he was given a team to make a standalone version as soon as ArmA 3 ships, in fact it's almost inevitable at this point.

Ok, I checked out more videos and it just seems to be lacking something. Physics and controls seem very poor. I would love it if a good developer makes a zombie MMO.

Like I said previously, if this goes on sale I'm in.

As it is though... no way i'm paying $20 just to play a mod, since i have no interest in the base game.
