Forums - Gaming - I don't like this serious gaming world

In this post i will not be sarcastic, and it's sad i have to say this.

I remember the time were magazines like Nintendo Power were sayin' serious stuff with sarcastic stuff because gaming was all about fun and stay with your friends so good stuff.

Even answers to the mail were really mean and sarcastic when the question was dumb to point you out like a "come on you can do better" without being serious and breaking heart.

Now you can't really write any s*it without people DIRECTLY ASSUMING THAT YOU ARE DUMB!

In years i had to come out of so many forums because they were becoming too much serious. I guess the forum system has failed.

Back to this site only like the last 4 years, after 3 thread if the isn't a charm it's a darn.

Im kinda confused at the OP, but Im assuming hes saying people are to uptight about everything. Or is he saying gaming is currently taken itself to seriously.. which definitely agree with.

Amen.
It's because everybody can use internet now. Back in the day without it or when you had to know what you're doing to log on only people who really were into it were critics. Nowadays everybody is.
There was even some research showing that the internet is almost only made of negative comments while classic media was also about pushing positives and not trying to sound superior and smarter than the rest.
That's why I hate this "new" web. It may look cooler but the content is crap.

Personally, my problem with the "gaming world" is that it seems to only have two modes - "Serious Business" and "Childish". Let me clarify that second one. To borrow from MASH, I don't mean Childlike, with its connotations of innocence and joyous abandon, but Childish.

Why does it not seem possible for the gaming world in general to be simultaneously mature and lighthearted?
