Forums - General - How did you get so smart?

when I was 12, they took me to a secret government lab where they were using human test subjects to try out this new drug that was supposed to overclock the brain's function, making us think faster, comprehend more variables, and do twice as much math in half the time!

Sadly, we'd get wicked headaches and unexplained heat stroke from our brains overworking themselves, so they're currently working on a method to get cool liquid spread throughout the brain matter to keep them at optimal performing temperature. I haven't heard back from them in over a decade.

I was probed by Aliens at a young age, the side effect is a massive increase in both brain and genital capability.

The "average person" is a rice farmer in China

Perhaps I am reading more into your comment then I should, but are you slyly implying that the average person is a Peon. I only say this, because it is a term that is often used to refer to Chinese farmers. I am just curious if it was your intent to do so, and see if anyone would catch the reference.

I suspect that it was more to do with china population size and the defintion of average ...

I'm as dumb as a pile of bricks....

I definitely have more useless knowledge than the average person. But I find on average, most people are pretty intelligent.

I blame the internet.

I don't consider myself smart at all. Even though, I love to read important facts & watch documentaries and push myself to learn more, but I usually end up reading stuff like these:

50 Totally Random and Useless Facts
"Dueling is legal in Paraguay as long as both parties are registered blood donors."
50 Things Everyone Should Know
"It's against the law to have a pet dog in Iceland!."

Maybe someone can confirm those two bits of information?
