I hope their is a lot of characters. To me more characters the better :). Also hopefully no lackluster clone characters. (like pikachu to pichu, mario to dr mario etc.)

Absolutely agree with the bolded. So many potential diverse characters for the roster so hopefully no clone characters at all

We will be unveiling two new characters during our Exhibition Presentation at EVO in Las Vegas this evening at 6:00pm PST. So if you’re in town for the tournament, stop by and check us out or tune in to the PS.Blog for more information.

When the game launches, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to unlock multiple costumes for each character, but these exclusive costumes will only be available if you pre-order. And yes, they’ll be available right when you start playing the game!

I’ll leave you with one last update: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be launching on October 23rd, 2012! We’ll have plenty more details on the game — including pricing for both the PS3 and PS Vita versions — soon enough, but we wanted to give you a date to mark on your calendars. i'm loving the alternate costumes and i wonder which characters they'll announce today

That picture made me think they added a Starhawk representative to the roster.

I want to see Jak and King Albert announced for the game tonight.

So far I'm really enjoying the announced roster and can't wait to hear more.

The more I look at this game, the worse it looks. The cast in the OP is snore worthy. What they should have done is create one interesting art style and redesigned everybody with that art style. In brawl a most characters were slightly redesigned/updated so thecast meshed well with each other. Why was that not done here? lots of clashing.

I am sure if they put a panda in there you'll get exited*. 

* Tekken reference.

The big daddy costume is from a toy you can buy from thinkgeek i believe. 

I can't wait to see the full roster come october 23. This game is going to be amazing probably my goty.

well they said they are showing a new stage today as well so chances are we will see a good chunk of gameplay :)
