It looks like a "pimp our first party releases" collection ala Nintendo Selects. Which is something they've needed to do for a long time. Have the Greatest Hits line for general popular stuff, and then their own special line to promote PlayStation-specific products and build up that brand awareness.
I wonder why Killzone 2 isn't on the list, though. It seems like they're promoting first party titles that are at least two years old, but Killzone 2 came out before God of War III, Resistance 2, and Heavy Rain.
Also, I would hope SCEA would get in on this, especially with the rumblings of a super slim coming out in a few months. They need this type of brand promotion in both Europe and North America.

And I'm pleasantly surprised to see Heavenly Sword getting re-released. The game deserved a sequel, imo. It had great potential for a new IP. It was just too short and had a terrible framerate. It was a beautiful game, though, with fun combat and a compellingly told story.
