Okay bud, the Foos have 7 great studio albums (the last 6 of which went top 10 or better) and over 30 singles and are still going strong after 15+ years.

Nirvana was only around for 3 albums and 10 singles before their frontman went nuts and killed himself.

Although I hate Cobain I almost wish he hadn't killed himself, because that immortalized Nirvana in history and people remember them as some great band even though they only had 3 albums and a handful of good songs. If he was still alive I'm certain people would have gotten sick of it. 

If Eddie Vedder had killed himself right after putting out Ten then everyone would be calling Pearl Jam the greatest grunge band ever and putting Ten down as one of the top albums ever made...but since he wasn't a suicidal pussy they kept putting out great music but nothing that could match the greatness of Ten, and because of this Pearl Jam hasn't been immortalized like Nirvana has.

That's a good one man. I'd take Hybrid Theory and Meteora any day over Nevermind and In Utero. 

Yeah Nirvana has a few good songs, but everyone gets remembered better when they die. When Michael Jackson was alive everyone called him a pedophile and a freak...but now that he's dead he's the King of Pop once again and all of his child molestation allegations have been forgotten. 

You guys have no idea what you're talking about when it comes about music in the 90's.

Sure, most of the great artists of the 80's composed a lot of crap during the 90's, but the underground scene, where there still are real, innovative musicians and songs, from extreme metal to electronic music to folk and shoegazing, developed considerably during the 90's.

Also there was grunge on it's first half, and the good years of nu metal later in the decade, for the more mainstream stuff.

Although I do not really like nirvana, I really dislike Foo fighters and Pearl Jam. My opinion of course. The music I liked from the 90s is Linkin Park and System of a Down.
