I'm pretty SONY has a fully time staff of R&D that is always preparing the next big thing. PS4 development could have even started before PS3 was released. You don't just hire and fire R&D staff when you finish / start developing consoles.

Sony has been the best 3 generations in a row. They haven't ever been first or cheapest. I don't see what's wrong with his statement.

That is nice that they have been working on it for so long. Hopefully after all that hard work the console turns out great.

Wrong... Sony has been developing the PS4 since the day after the PS3 was released. These companies don't just "take a break" from hardware development for 3-4 years and then go "Oh gee, look at the time! Guess we should start working on our next-gen console soon, huh guys?"

I would actually believe that, maybe even 1 year before it. I would think that the Wii U is already done, just need to get some games to go along with the release.
