I loved UC3 and found it better then UC2 since it improved everything from UC2 and made it better. I just hate how everyone doesn't like UC3 as much because they believed it would have such a big leap that UC2 had over the first one. |
i agree with you 100%
I think the score is too high. I beat the game like 2 weeks ago and its good but has a lot of flaws, some of which you mentioned. If this game is a 9 and U2 a 10, then TLOU has to get 12/10 when it releases.Watch Dogs should get a 12 or 13 then. I just really hate it when every game thats remotely good instantly shoots up in the 9-10 region and clutters up the scale so you can't differentiate between the "pretty good games" and the "amazing games" anymore. I think it's an 8. 8/10 is still a pretty good score if you use the whole scale.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

All the Uncharteds are equally good to me. DF was special because it set such a good benchmark. UC2 was great because it improved on DF in so many ways. UC3 was great because it maintained the high standard set by UC2 in pretty much every department.
The only gameplay negative I think is the platforming elements. I'd prefer it to be less point and jump. The fighting stuff is totally fine with me, it ain;t broke so don't fix it. I would like Move implementation for UC4 because TPS with Move is fantastic, and Infamous 2 proves beyond any doubt that platforming TPSworks brilliantly with Move.
Actually ND was lame for not bringing Move to UC3 via some DLC, like Sucker Punch did with inFamous 2.

So you think it's an 8.8/10 rather than 9/10? Practically the same score lol
It was an awesome game, with many magic moments. But I prefered Amongst Thieves because setting.
Edit: Why are you people so eager to give 1-10 scores. This system obviously does not work. Why not just say what you liked and what not, and that is it then.

No I ment an 8 out of 10. Notice the space, it's subtle, but it's there.

I got it just a couple weeks ago with a buy 2 get 1 free Gamestop promotion (also picked up Fallout New Vegas Ultimate edition and Ass Creed Revelations.
I've played it a couple hours and so far it's awesome, and the multiplayer is pretty nice as well. But before I finish the single player, I have some other games on my to-do list.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
Definately not as good as Uncharted 2. It jumps around to much over a large number of environments. Some may think of it as variety but I feel like it doesn't give me any chance to take it in. So many big moments were in it, but this kind of oversaturated the moments for me. The plane section also was poorly done. Should have produced a spinning room like Inception. Instead they shook it like a boat. -_-. Also, multiplayer is not as good imo. Too much customization. I loved UC 2's multiplayer because of the simplicity and the fact that it was all about getting the power weapons. It takes too many bullets to kill in UC 3. Also, the graphics on multiplayer look AWFUL. WTH Naughty dog, why do your multiplayer graphics look like crap this time around? I thought Cutter was a cool new character, but I wish they spent more time with Chloe. They had a cool new villian too. Hunter's arena is a genius move imo. So good. Probably one of the best modes in any game ever. Plunder also is so much better in UC 3. I love that mode too. As far as Team Deathmatch, Hardcore is superior in my eyes. I don't like the varied objectives in coop survival though. UC 2 beats UC 3 in that.
Overall, UC 2 is greater than UC 3 in my eyes. The story is better, the controls are better(did anyone else feel like the controls were a step back in UC3?), the multiplayer overall is better(UC3 improved greatly in some ways such as split screen, hunter's arena, and plunder but took two steps back in Team Deathmatch, Coop, and the graphics), and Nathan Drake is just funnier in the second one.

I liked UC 2 a lot because I came into the game with very low expectations. The game then blew me away with how fun it was. I did not even know it had multiplayer for a year. Then it blew me away again lol. I like UC 3 multiplayer better strictly because of splitscreen co-op. All in all they are about the same to me in rating.
