It's on 450 EUR to pre-order at Carrefour. Doesn't mean shit.

It's been discussed to the death, but the 300 range seems reasonable and doable. And that 300 figure is the same everywhere meaning: 300 USD, 300 EUR, 300 GBP, 300 AUD, 300 SEK, ... I'm gonna import it from Sweden this time :)

The PS3 is still $380-$400 AUD here.

3DS is $250 AUD

so I doubt the WiiU will be $300 AUD. It will be a HUGE shock if it is.

And 300 SEK are ~40 AUD, your point being? Import it from Sweden too :P

Our dollar is over the American one now.

We have GST, I'll give you.  But if it is more than $50-70 over the American price Nintendo can get fucked.

I'm thinking it'll be at least $450 here. Possibly $499 with my Wii launch price + price of Tablet controller theory.

Here in the Netherlands I could find only three shops that even list the Wii U on their website. Only one of them actually states a price, and two of them state a release date. I guess it is still too soon though, here in Holland they usually are quite late with listing whatever product for pre-ordering. Which is why I usually pre-order (if I pre-order which is rare) at the German or UK Amazon, the benefit of the EU I guess. Here they are, the Dutch offerings:

ePlaza: No price stated, but available for pre-order. Release is set at October 1st (would be great, but I won't count on it). No games are listed.
bol.com: €499,00, available for pre-order. Release is set at November 30th (date could be correct). A few games are listed, all €59,99.
Game Mania: No price stated, no release stated, but available for pre-order. A lot of games are listed complete with boxart, but no prices.

I am expecting $300 or $350 US dollars.

loli posted these prices in another threas about a week ago when people where having a meltdown at the amazon place holder, without reading it was an estimate.

fun times haha.

basedon the past, I am expecting the Wii U to be $450 tops in AUD.

Frankly, with the AUD above the USD even $450 would be taking the piss if its $300 in the US.

Throw in 10% GST ($330) and a GENEROUS allotment for economies of scale ($380) and you still have massive overcharging.

luckily it was only $428AUD for the premium
