You can't say that and then have a pic of Little Big Planet in your sig or Domo in your avatar, it's completely contradictory.

Why? LBP appeals to mature gamers as much as children IMO, everyone is creative. And I don't find the sackboy character interesting, it's the game that I think is awesome. As for Domo... it's just something I liked when I was little, and someone got me the poster so... yeah, not much more explanation needed.

You knocked Mario games because you don't find Mario interesting. You also don't find Sackboy interesting, but find the game awesome. Remind me how exactly LittleBigPlanet somehow has that much superior gaming than what Mario is in, since that seems to be youar argument. Difference between a Mario game, as a platformer and LBP, is the draw of Mario platformers (and other games) are professionally created levels. The appeal of LBP is levels designed by fans. I say this being a big fan of LBP, and even Sackboy. I tip a hat to Mario, because Nintendo, in my view, uses Mario in good games.

That's not my argument, I'm not really sure what you're saying there.
There are a few key differences here.
1) Mario Tennis for example, just comes across as purely a cash grab. Why is a studio making that when they could be making countlessly more compelling titles? What a waste of talent. It exists solely because Ninty knows it'll sell. As a core gamer, doesn't that bother you?
LBP has a large core audience and community, of course it makes Sony money, but it's also doing some fantastic things for core gamers. Mario tennis brings nothing to core gamers. That's one of my point, not about Mario as a character, but the way it's used.
2) I'll give you a direct quote from me: "seeing Mario plastered across the title of a gazilion different games is tiresome." I don't need to explain how this differs to what happens with Sackboy.
3) Sackboy isn't even the star of any game, he's the default model in LBP games that you personalise and customise.
Basically, I'm saying Ninty doesn't seem to be doing anything meaningful to the core gamer with Mario aside from Super mario bros and Super Mario Galaxy. As a core gamer, I'd rather Nintendo use developers to their full potential instead of making Mario tennis or Mario party or Dr. Mario or whatever Mario. These games are good, sure, but it annoys me that those devs are held back because Mario will make Ninty money. It extra annoys me because I don't find Mario interesting in the slightest. But my main beef isn't with the actual character, but how he's used.
