Why do people hate on Mario?

Haha. Even though there are a lot of Mario games they are all different. You have Super Mario games which are the main platformer games, you have Mario Kart for racing, Paper Mario, Mario Sports (Golf, tennis, basketball, soccer, baseball, etc.), Mario Party, Mario RPG's, Mario Pinball, Dr. Mario, Mario Paint, Mario and Sonic, Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, Mario and Luigi, and more.

If they were all the same type of game people would get tired of him, but because his games are actually of high quality, very fun, and diverse people will continue to buy in. Mario will be around forever.

I'm mainly talking about the 2D Series, of course.

I don't mind several Mario games in a year as long as they are different. So, Let's take a look at this year. (Not sure if I'm right on all release dates so don't take this as fact.)

We get; Paper Mario, Mario Tennis, and NSMBU. Great! Perfect! Amazing!..... Hold up... we also get NSMB2 in addition to NSMBU.......... >_>
