That is one amazing game. I love the zombie stage on MS 4.

I would classify Blast Corps as pure fun. The plot is ridiculous but you get to destroy buildings!! Plus there's that awesome song :
Signature goes here!
And most Pokemon games are just fun. Especially this one:

Most of the warioware titles I have thought were pure fun.
Also, Space Invaders Extreme (ds version) and Pacman Championship edition Dx are 2 of my favourite pure fun titles in recent years. I'd also rate Geometry Wars 1 and 2 as well but they border on the brink of being alomst too hard to be fun (for me at least!)
This thread makes me sad cos it seems like the whole fun factor is totally lacking from most games these days...or at least most of the games I like :( Dammit in my day it wasn't considered uncool for videogames to be fun. Grrrrrr

This. Tought the first UT was even better (imo).

I only wanted to post one game and I was actually torn between the first UT (which I didn't play a whole lot but I liked it) and 2004. I thought I'd post 2004 so that someone would at least consider checking it out as it is more recent. For those wondering, the other two online FPSs that I got into were Halo 2 and Rainbow Six 3 for the original Xbox. Besides those I haven't played online FPSs much (no time or no skill... or both XD). I dabbled in some Quake 3 arena and played a limited amount of Counter Strike but I was really young when I got into those and my mouse skills were abysmal - and the people who play those games are bat-shit amazing at them. |
Halo: Reach is fairly enjoyable online barring the terrible map selection. Once you get used to the ridiculous vehicle playlists and the jetpack/sprinting gameplay, it's a lot of fun.

Great game. Mario Kart Wii was good but there were some really annoying aspects of it (a certain item comes to mind). |
I never really got into Mario Kart Wii. I don't know why, but I just didn't like the way it felt. I''ll always pick Double Dash over the Wii one.

World Cup 98 on the N64
I don't know if it was the game that was so much fun, or my 10 player full World Cup tournaments with beer and pizza that lasted 8 hours straight.

World Cup 98 on 64 was crazy. I used to love playing indoor on that game. Also used some cheat codes so that the all never went outside. It was endless fun.
