Just wondering, what kind of articles would you all be looking for? Previews, Editorials?

Ah fair point, guess I wasn't specific.  Previews are done by the review staff and we don't often get copies early enough for it so they're few and far between.  We'd be looking for editorials for when the release schedule is slow (like in the summer) to help keep our site consistantly updating.

So...it'd be an opinion like this (obviously with more work put in)? Or am I misunderstanding something here?

And what about when there's games coming out? Do we still have to write articles?

Sorry for all the questions. I just like to be certain about stuff before I apply.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah opinion pieces like those or even the odd list article are what we're looking for.

We'd like someone consistently giving us at least one article a month regardless of the games coming out.

That's cool. I could do that! Will send in my piece at the weekend :)

I could be up for it. Negligible pay being better than what i'm currently on (and the lack of income being set in tune with my free time), and would give me a portfolio of "published work," which could help me launch towards writing jobs in the future

I really don't have a reason not to...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Let me write articles, I have some crazy ideas.

We've put the job listing on gamejournalismjobs.com and have already gotten a decent number of applicants but we could definitely still use some more. We'll leave things open for a week from today but after that we probably need to make a decision and start getting the new writers set up.

Is there an age cap on this, as I'm 15. If not I'd gladly help, would visit here more because of this.

There are no age restrictions on writing for gamrReview assuming you can write well enough. Being that young would mean that you'd be ineligible for some of the benefits of being on staff, though, like I can't get people that young into E3 or GDC or other professional conferences as media. If you don't mind that then feel free to apply to kjkoebke@vgchartz.com
