I have always been on the side that never understood the hatred against marijuana. Everyone knows the reason why it is so shunned is because the government hasn't figured out how to properly generate revenue from it. What makes alchohol alright but marijuana oh so bad?

I love smoking pot, I won't lie to you. One of the things I enjoy it most for is when I need to do work around the house or in the yard. We all know that nobody really enjoys having to do it, but if you smoke a nice bowl before you do it you will be surprised at how much you get done.

As long as someone does it in their own home, at a party, or anywhere that people would otherwise drink, seriously, what is the issue? Ever seen pot heads go at it? I don't, but I sure see drunks lose their cool.

For the person who brought up the fact that he saw someone laying face down and talking about no air being up top. Marijuana isn't for everyone, just like everything else in existance. It can cause paranoia and for those who already suffer from paranoia it can cause situations like what you saw.

Well, that's what movies do. They make everything extreme for entertainment purposes. It's how the killer always catches up to the victims, or the guy who nearly died can come save the day at the end of the movie, or how a family can win a dead mans keno when they've run out of money on a casino vacation.

Besides, I'd rather the effects of weed be extreme in movies. I'm not paying to watch a guy sit in a room smoking a bong with Bob Marley posters, candy and pizza while playing COD. I can hangout with my boring friends and watch that.

California has. The state just has to find a way to convince the general public to vote for it.

Actually 8 states have it on the ballot this year to leagalize and treat as if it were alcohol, 21 and older. California, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon and Washington. They all plan to tax it to help with revenues, open up farms to growing it, and to make other products with hemp. They also think this will improve the quality of product on the market (Less chances of it being spiked with other drugs) cut down drug related violence since it will be available legally and cheaper than what drug dealers currently sell.
