Usually when I look at these lists I count up the total sales: Xbox: 90.73 and Ps3: 90.2. Also I count up exclusives slaes: Xbox: 23.10 and 23.95. But since there are no repeating franchises these total numbers don't mean anything for the current generation Ps and Xbox since franchises like CoD are under-reprisented and the last 3 halo games that came  out for the xbox 360 (excluding Halo wars) equall more than the top unique ip exclusives for the 360 combined. I would recomend putting the CoD's that came out for the Ps3 and Xbox 360 in to one universal CoD number same with the Halo's and Uncharteds, although thats just me.

Even then it's pretty good. If only certain franchises are capable of outselling on the 360 then it says something.

Anyway, VGC hardware hardware-data was far from being on track in the last months and Software is probably a total mess, especially with the lack of digital sales and PC sales. Minecraft for example is not even on the list and it sold more than 2 million on 360 and more than 11 million overall.

Zumba fitness with 7.5 million missing because it became a hit on the Wii and sold really well on 360, but not so much on PS3.

Fable III sits at 4.7 million without digital copies and without PC sales.

Sequels are the lifeblood of this generation and generate about 75% of the total sales. So if you exclude them, exclude digital sales, exclude sales for PC / console and use unreliable data on top of that, you should not celebrate and draw the conclusion like "I told you so PS3 Gamez $ELL!!!!!1111"

Hardly matters. The original statement was that multiplatform games don't sell on PS3. Try to keep up.

No repeating franchises. If there were, there would probably be more Halos than any PS3 exclusives.

PS3 exclusives have sold pretty well though, the reputation they get as being shit sellers is largely unfounded.
