What happyD wants(i believe) simply put is, what Nintendo has to do in order to atract the HD console gamers, since he doesnt understand whats so wrong with Nintendos hw and sw for them not to buy or enjoy those games

Simple: I wish Nintendo would stop pulling a George Lucas... aka dumbing down their games and franchises just to appeal to as wide an audience as possible.

I mean 2D platformers. If Nintendo puts out a platformer that could rival LittleBigplanet psp, then we'll talk. Mario Zelda & Metroid have been used for the past 20 years, so they automatically don't count. I'm talking new ips here.

So why dosn't Mario count because its been succesful for 20 years? Thats was and still is a 2D platformer and is still better than LBP! Also Mario Kart, still better than Modnations Racer and chances are better than LBP Karting.


I can play every Mario level in LBP. LBP > Mario.


No, you can play a user created version of Mario. Not the same. Mario has been the platforming standard fot the past 20 years. LBP may be great, but its not Mario.


Platforming has gone to another level with or without Mario. Mario is a household name, it wont die anytime soon.

I agree with LinkVPit, furthermore, I bet that if they would find the average age of the Zelda Gamer compare it against the average age of the COD gamer, I think Zelda will be 2-3 years older.

A few of these are impossibilities, but they would convince me to buy it.  Currently I have no enthusiasm for the console.

(in no particular order)

-A $200 price point
-1080p 3rd Party/Multiplatform games
-Guaranteed support for all AAA multiplatform games
-Optical audio output
-SSD
-Black Console
-No Friend Codes
-No Nintendo Points
-1080p option for all Wii U games (even if upscaled)
-1080p Upscaling for all Wii games
-Blu-ray Player
-Major Indie games support

hmm i think beside the obvious like having more 3rd party support and getting all the multiplat...

what you forgot is how about having a god damn standard format for disc.... what nintendo completely failed to see with Wii and even now with WiiU is now console NEED do be way more than a console... they need to aim at being a media center if they want to keep a major spot in the livingroom in the future...

and all their "kiddie" games are fine but why not develope mature ones too.... you don't need blood and gore to be mature... you can have smart adventur/rpg game... action games set up in a mature world... you can keep the cartoonie or crazie art style.... stuff like baird, limbo, bastion but in big production... using all the real estate they have in a witty way... cause yeah the wiggle is fun the first month then it gets old.... i mean on 3ds they have some pretty slick and mature stuff why can't they do or commission the same on Wii(U) but most important make it a god multimedia box...

I own an HD console, as a Nintendo fan. I'm not in a place where I own an HD console and not a Nintendo console, hence why I'm asking. Please stop being negative.
