So Resistance 2 is launching in September/November, and many expect KillZone 2 to be delayed until then. But would Sony really launch both games in such a small window, or will KillZone be released earlier...or maybe even next year. If its released around the same time that Resistance 2 is launched, I think it'll be crushed.

 Insomniac KNOWS how to make a great game. They are a proven developer who can create great gameplay with great graphics. I truly believe that Insomniac can create KillZone like graphics in half the time its taken GG.

 Guerrilla Games has redeemed themselves somwhat with KillZone:Liberation, and have shown that when given ample power, they can create a beautiful looking game.

 But given a choice between the two...I'll take Resistance 2!!

I have a strong feeling we will see Killzone 2 in September, and Resistance 2 in November. It will not hurt the sales of either game as both are going to be AAA titles, and well recieved by all. I don't see why this has become such an issue all over the next. Did Bioshock, and COD4 get murdered buy Halo 3? No not at all. All 3 of thouse games sold extreamly well, and they were all FPS's, and all on the same console. So as far as sales go I am bnot worried one bit, because both titles will be great experiances and will sell very well.

Now, which game will be better? That is hard to say. I really enjoyed the story in the first Killzone. I feel it is the best story in any FPS. Resistance was also very interesting, but I just did not like the Cimera or Hale as much as Hakka, Rico and the Helghast. Both games will undoubtably play extreamly well, Sony is not about to let Killzone play like shit after they have spent 40+ million on it and had basically their whole 1st party staff involved in it in at least some way.

So at this point it is really hard to tell. I still need to here more about both titles and uin the end play them before I make a dicission.

Prediction:

Both of these games will feature Vehicals, and Flyers. I have a feeling that Killzone is going to have a very epic star wars esque space combat level. It fits so well, the ISA (rebelian), Helghast (empire). Taking the controls from Warhawk, Killzones Graphics, and great story implementation and you have one of the most epic battles in VG history.

I reckon KZ2 will be released some time this march or just after it, while resistance gets released near the end of the year. This way each game will get the maximum amount of sales from shooter fans with out over lapping, also they'll also cover 2 peek sale periods.

I think together with GTA4 or 3-4 weeks after it would be a really good release date for KZ2 , but only if the game is complete by that time and not buggy/underdeveloped/short. I think we will see how far they have come at the GDC 08 (18-22th of feb).

 I hate to say that KZ2 will come in 09 but from what we have seen i would not be surprised.

If it comes in 09 it will have to look significantly better than it did at E3. Because I'm pretty sure Resistance WILL look as good as that KillZone in-game trailer.

Resistance 2 will have beaten killzone 2!!

All Insomniac games come late Oct or Nov. A intelligent guess is mid to late Nov for Resistance 2 while summer release for Killzone2.

Killzone2 - Sept
Resistance2 - Nov

Its that easy.

I'd take Resistance 2 before Killzone 2, Insomniac FTW!
