Forums - PC - Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition troubles

I'm having issues with my copy of SSFIVAE that i got yesterday from amazon for 10 bucks...

The game seems to run a little slowly, and I can't get past the attraction screen.  Whenever I press enter, spacebar, or esc, it just loads up more cpuvs.cpu fights.  Then, after I sign into windows live,it all goes black, and nothing happens...

Windows 7, ATI Radeon HD 4200, 4.8 GB useable ram...  Don't nag on my PC, I never intended to play games on it.  Not to mention, 1,500 dollars for a computer to play game isn't worth the visuals for me...  Considering what 250 dollars would do for you..  And, no installation issues.

I'm starting to wish I'd simply updated my PS3 version SSFIV to AE, instead of getting it for the computer.  Too much of a headache... even for $9.99.

Have you ever considered that you just suck at Street Fighter? Can't even beat the first opponent, eh? Pathetic.

Oh. There's on disc DLC you can purchase to unlock a key that's on disc DLC you can purchase that makes the game work properly.

Well... here's your answer.

That, or you should've just got the PS3 Version.

Sue the Amazon seller, that's how we do it here in 'Mercia.

God damn it, people, I have the PS3 version... The game was on sale at Amazon.com. I'm not able to get to the title screen. If I press enter, or space bar, it loads up more cpu vs. cpu fights, then, goes back to the opening movie....

This is totally my 1st, and last PC game I ever get... -___-

Well, I always had bad PC Gaming experience so this doesn't come as a surprise to me. Everything just seems to fall apart when I try to play a Disc Based PC Game.

Is anyone actually going to try to help the OP? I'm not sure what your CPU is but the problem is GPU. It's an older on board graphic's model of the Radeon series. If you can get to the graphics settings screen, you should turn everything down to the lowest settings and run the benchmark that comes in the game. See what your average FPS is. For SSFIV, you are going to want to average 60fps. If the benchmark gives you more than 60fps, then you can increase your settings. Although if you get below 60fps, I'd advise turning them down again. Good luck to you. I hope I'm wrong but I think you GPU isn't strong enough.

I don't want a refund, I want my game to work... I suppose this is what i get for buying another capcom game when I said I wouldn't.

Digital format is best for PC ;o

Pirated Steam Version

Too bad I also don't have a PC (Windows) anymore. I have a Mac.

Dun Dun Dun!

Dont they have a Steam download for Mac o.O?

I don't know. But, Macs are supposedly the worst platform to play games on. I doubt it would've mattered either way.
