These kind of accidents (violating smbd airspace) are happeining all the time - this's not the first time Turks are doing this - some are due to accident, some are intentional, not every one of them is going public though. Even if they did went public, it's sometimes very hard to guess what has happened actually due to lame journalism (and since journalism and lame are synonims, it's just like that every f**king timd :D), say, intercepting in international airspace could be easily transormed in violating national airspace in press release.

But if the following pic has smth to do with the reality, it's violation, and it's intentional (less than 5km from the shore).

They like these kind of "hot facts", they make out of thin air like 15000 Iranian troops in Syria - surprisingly straightforward and stupid even for yellowish media.

Yet it's pretty revealing how Israel, an old Syria's foe and bully, prefer to keep it's own head down, while Turkey is going rampant (relatively).

Well, it's 3rd gen, so yes, somewhat ancient. Doubt they 'make' them, they aren't in production, but they could convert some F4s into different role. Given that was reconnaissance airplane, does it matter on what platform you'd install neccessary equipment? It could be An-2 and still a desent reconnaissance airplane.
