As for the "stupid amateur govt", yep, why not? :D
3-4 months ago it's been said that Syrians has arrested 40 smth Turkish 'agents' or smth, but given the info initally has came from some Jewish media outlet I wouldn't bet on it. They like these kind of "hot facts", they make out of thin air like 15000 Iranian troops in Syria - surprisingly straightforward and stupid even for yellowish media.
Yet it's pretty revealing how Israel, an old Syria's foe and bully, prefer to keep it's own head down, while Turkey is going rampant (relatively).
