Everyone is talking about the end of this generation and the begining of the next. I am considering getting a Ps3 just to play Uncharted 3 and some other online games but... wouldn't it be better to save that money and buy a brand new shinny next gen Wii-U? I've read people saying that the HD twins are launching their next-gen consoles in 2013. Would that give me just one year more of support for my ps3?

Nope, buy a PS3 and wait for the WiiU to lower price and have games to justify a purchase.

How would it be too late? By not owning the system, you've missed out. You've got 6 years worth of games to play, and they're all cheap now. Not to mention new things are still coming.

No it's a great time to buy a ps3. There's so many good games currently out for it. You can get loads of great free games on playstation plus. There's many games coming out this year and next year including the last of us, god of war ascension and beyond which will all be fantastic. There's many good bundles currently available for it, however you could probably wait a few months and it will be further reduced.

you can get so many good games for under 30 bucks, i got a ps3 last summer and have only paid full price for one game
