Sorry if I'm slow on the uptake...
I was under the impression that Nintendo had the rights to publish Fatal Frame games...
Does this news change Nintendo's relationship to the franchise in any big way???

What makes you think Sega's in bad shape? They're quite profitable; bought back 72 million worth in shares during Q1, and then an additional 215 million in Q2 this year.

Also, Sega is worth 6.4 billion US dollars currently and are slightly undervalued given their P/E rating.

co-ownership in Fatal Frame will be meaningful if Nintendo actually starts caring enough about the franchise to bring it to the West. Otherwise it really doesn't matter how much they own of it.

I am half happy about this and half not... I am happy about it because Nintendo are doing something for ones to buy games but i am having a bad feeling this will never see the light of day in NA/EU
