Forums - Gaming - Nintendo: Wii U could become "preferred" Call of Duty platform!

@ryuzaki57 that's the point, you are too sure of things that you don't even know about. At your comment about Wiimote Cod, are you now saying because something doesn't sell as well its not good as good then you have just confirmed Wii is better than 360 and PS3.
P.s. Yes good debate

Someone's daydreaming at NoA... look, if the map is on the Gamepad, you can't play and look at the map at the same time! Currently on PS360, we perform a quick glance at the map so as to monitor the opponents' moves without being caught off guard, which can only be done if the map is on the TV! This Moffitt folk has clearly never played a FPS online. There's not even 0,1% chance to see Call of Duty gamers switch from PS360 to WiiU, especially if the rumored price of 399€ comes true. Also, if Nintendo wants to reach the core audience, they should change their PR focus quickly because Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros U aren't going to convince many core gamers.

Come on, are you serious? NSMBU is a core game, but if you dislike Jump&Runs (as I do), Pikmin, AC, Batman, Darksiders etc. may more convincing. Why should a core gamer even care, that Nintendo Land exists?

and oh... some advice for Nintendo. If Black Ops II does release on WiiU, don't do that :

And for this game - everyone posting it should think about for more than two seconds. Sniping with the gamepad is one of the uses I thin, that could really work. First: I see no reason why you have to raise it, if you're not showing it of in a press conference. But sitting in my chair I probably press a button to enter snipe mode. And second: I have not to leave the snipe-mode to get an overview of what is happening - I only have to flick the eyes to the main screen. That I see as a real advantage. Think you have multiple enemies. You don't need t leave snipe-mode to look where the next enemy is, just look at the TV and you know which direction to move the control-stick.

(2) Those are really interesting features. But you can't be sure whether the GamePad is capable of sending that kind of information to another Gamepad.

The first gamepad communicates with the console. And the second gamepad communicates with the console. And the gamepad on the WiiU at another place that is connected via network communicates with the console. I'm sure, the WiiU is unable to combine these informations and sends them back, probably because it has only the prcessing power of 1.3 Gamecubes.

Well, only if they'd let me play using the Wiimote-nunchuk combo. Infinitely superior to dual analog for shooters.

Until your arm falls off from having to constantly aim the Wiimote at the screen and move it all around, that is.

Sit comfortable in the chair. Rest your arm on the (hmm, have to look up the word in english) armrest (?? http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&lang=de&searchLoc=0&cmpType=relaxed§Hdr=on&spellToler=&search=armlehne) and if you have the right distance to the sensor bar you move the wiimote only a little to move the cursor on the screen. Very comfortable.

Good idea.  But you know what's even more comfortable when sitting in a chair and resting your arms on an armrest and all that?

A NORMAL FRIGGIN' CONTROLLER!!!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Considering the specs of the Wii U have not been officially announced, no COD has been announced for the Wii U this argument sure got somewhat heated!

That's right. I said it only because everyone seems to think, you can use Wii-controllers only while standing up and have your arms extended as far as possible from your body.

HANG ON IT IS NOT NORMAL ACCORDING TO one of S.T.A.G.E's earlier post.

the analog stick needs to be below the four buttons, otherwise the world ends because one gamer cannot adopt to change.

(1) ACIII, Batman, Darksiders hardly matter since they will release earlier on PS360. Gamers who want those games will have finished them before WiiU releases.

(2) I'm pretty sure you must have both screens to face each other. Otherwise I don't see the point of the gyroscopic crosshairs.

(3) So it's perfectly the same as with a normal controller.

(4) As i said, this constant going back and forth between gamepad and TV would be totally uneffective in a fast paced FPS, in which you need to have permanent focus.

WiiU is going to have the best version of every multiplat, i know it must be hard to accept, just deal with it Sonysoft fans...
