THey never said the common core was in the RT device and that's my point.

Additionally, win8 is the same as Android4. Its a common OS for multiple visual sizes. Hell, they took the metro mobile UI and even pushed it to desktop use where as Android does have a dramatically different view in tablet vs phone modes. You can specify your apps to look unique on each device type/screen size.

So far MS hasn't show if they do something similar and if I'm not mistaken iOS requires a completely different app build.

I was taking a dig at the iPad there. I liked how Android was customizing the OS for tablet use, instead of taking the easy route of just blowing it up. I still have to check how Android 4 looks like on a mobile, just seen it running on tablets.

I still haven't got into that UI; needs to try it out so I can have better judgment; As of right now, I'm perfectly fine with Android due to its open source.
For example, I've ran Win95 and Ubuntu on my phone.

WP7 devices are single core, they won't be able to get main core software upgrades, but they will be getting a UI upgrage as WP7.8

Yeah, the partial upgrade is going to sting, especially for somebody who just picked up a new Lumia, but since there's an upgrade path for people, I don't think it's a huge deal.
